Job summary

Morris County Vocational School District is seeking a 12-month, full-time custodian for the Evening Shift (3–11 p.m.), available September 7, 2026. The role covers preventive maintenance of buildings and grounds, cleaning tasks, snow removal, and securing facilities as needed.

Qualifications include general knowledge of cleaning methods; Black Seal License preferred or obtainable within two years. No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Disposal of refuse, cleaning walkways, snow removal, and opening/ securing buildings per head custodian.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance of building and grounds area, sweeping, dusting, damp mopping, scrubbing, washing, cleaning, buffing, disposing of refuse, clean walkways, snow removal, opening and securing buildings and any other duties assigned by the Head Custodian or supervisory personnel.

Compensation

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $43,720 to $58,035. This position is also eligible for a retirement plan, sick, personal, bereavement, and family illness days.
