Job summary

The Morris County Vocational School District is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial worker for a 12-month, full-time Evening Shift (3–11 p.m.), starting September 7, 2026. Training is provided; Black Seal license preferred or must be obtained within two years of employment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, cleaning, snow removal, and securing buildings under supervision. Salary ranges from $43,720 to $58,035, with eligibility for retirement and paid time off benefits.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitary methods, materials, tools, and school-related equipment.
• Black Seal License preferred or must be obtained within two years of employment. No experience necessary; will train.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of building and grounds area, sweeping, dusting, damp mopping, scrubbing, washing, cleaning, buffing, disposing of refuse, clean walkways, snow removal, opening and securing buildings and any other duties assigned by the Head Custodian or supervisory personnel.
