Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking an Evening Custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment in the district facilities. The role reports to the Head Custodian and offers non-exempt, at-will employment with a focus on supporting teachers and students.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and the ability to read and follow cleaning instructions, operate cleaning equipment, and lift heavy items. No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks per daily schedule and assist with events as directed by supervisor.
• Support custodial operations and work with others in a positive manner.
• Inspect and maintain basic safety equipment and report any issues.
• Secure buildings by locking doors, turning off lights, and setting alarms when done.
• Restock supplies and assist with minor projects as requested.
