Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, following safety rules and procedures. This role includes duties listed on the daily schedule, hazardous waste handling, operating cleaning equipment, and teamwork.

Shifts Monday-Friday 2:00PM - 10:30PM, pay $17.50–$18.50 per hour. No advanced education required; 3–6 months training preferred. Strong communication and ability to follow protocols are valued.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as per daily schedule.
• Hazardous Waste responsibilities incl. collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
