Job summary

Melwood in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to manage the evening custodial crew from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekends and holidays. The role requires hands-on floor care knowledge (stripping, refinishing floors, carpet shampooing) and the ability to supervise and schedule staff.

You may drive a personal vehicle for transporting personnel; mileage is reimbursed under Travel policy.

Qualifications

• Two years of custodial work with one year of supervisory experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays and pass security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plans daily activities of the custodial crew and assigns duties.
• Supervises and inspects work to meet contract specifications.
• Maintains equipment/supply inventories and time sheets.
• Ensures safety training and quality control procedures are followed.
• Coordinates with parents/guardians of crew members when needed.
