Job summary

Avamere Rehabilitation of Shoreline is seeking a part-time Dishwasher/Culinary Aide to support meal service for residents. The role involves preparing and serving meals, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness under supervision of the Culinary Services Manager.

Shoreline location offers evening schedule from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, starting at $21.00 hourly. Requires attention to sanitation, food handling practices, and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail for tray setup and sanitation.
• Knowledge of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair restraint.
• Interpersonal skills to work with staff and other departments.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Active CPR/BLS certification and maintain it.
• Current Food Handler's card.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature; may help with preparation.
• Examine completed tray for accuracy and place on the cart.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties (areas, equipment, dishware, floors).
• Comply with facility and state/federal sanitary, safety, and infection control policies.
• Attend orientation, training, and in-service activities.
• Assist with inventorying and storing incoming foods, supplies, and equipment.
