Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a part-time Cook at Avamere Rehabilitation of Shoreline in Shoreline, WA. Friday and Saturday 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM with flexible weekday hours, wage starting at $24/hour DOE.

You will prepare meals for residents and assist in inventory management, following dietary requirements and safety policies. The role reports to the Culinary Services Manager and includes training, supervision of aides when needed, and ensuring meals are served on time with proper

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in reading recipes and production sheets.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Active CPR/BLS Certification maintained during employment.
• Approximately one year of quantity food preparation experience.
• Experience in institutional food preparation preferred.
• Ability to supervise dietary personnel and coordinate activities.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and follow recipes during preparation.
• Manage purchased food and supplies to control waste.
• Maintain portion control and ensure proper temperatures.
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy and safety.
• Maintain storage standards and assist in inventory.
• Assist in establishing food service production lines.
• Coach staff with sanitation, safety and equipment care.
• Ensure smooth operation when Culinary Services Manager is away.
