Avamere Richmond Beach Rehab in Shoreline, WA is hiring a part-time Culinary Aide. You will prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring adherence to individual dietary needs and strict food safety practices.

The role involves kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, and compliance with facility regulations under the Culinary Services Manager. Shift options include Saturday–Tuesday 3:00 PM–7:00 PM or Monday–Tuesday 5:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail when setting up trays and portioning, and sanitizing equipment.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining personal hygiene while working.
• Interpersonal skills to work with staff across departments.
• CPR/BLS certification required and kept current.
• Current Food Handlers card required by Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices in long-term care facility.
• Ability to learn and operate standard kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve meals on trays, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
• Inspect completed trays for accuracy before serving.
• Fills between-meal nourishments as needed.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining work areas, equipment, and floors.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control policies.
