Job summary

Avamere Living Richmond Beach Rehab in Shoreline, WA is seeking a part-time Culinary Aide to prepare and serve meals according to residents' individual dietary needs, ensure proper food handling, and keep the kitchen clean under the supervision of the Culinary Services Manager.

Responsibilities include tray service, portion control, sanitation, inventory assistance, and participation in orientation and training; CPR/BLS certification and a current Food Handler's card are required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail when setting up trays and maintaining portion control.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food service.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair restraint.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment as needed.
• CPR/BLS certification must be active during employment.
• Current Food Handler's card from local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as assigned.
• Serve food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature.
• Inspect completed trays for accuracy and place on the cart.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties, including work areas, equipment, dishware, and floors.
• Follow established facility and state/federal regulations for sanitation, safety, and infection control.
• Attend and participate in orientation, training, and in-service educational activities.
• Assist with inventorying and storing incoming foods, supplies, and equipment.
