NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for the Core Lab on the full-time evening shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) in Brooklyn, NY. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Science degree, NYS Clinical Lab Technologist license, and 4 years of clinical lab experience (or 2 years with a master's or 1 year

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree required.
• NYS Clinical Lab Technologist license by Dept. of Education.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with master’s degree or 1 year of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct daily activities of the laboratory section assigned.
• Maintain adequate inventory and supplies.
• Responsible for validity of test results, quality control and quality assurance.
• Participates in continuing education program.
• Has the authority to recommend, select, discipline, and discharge personnel.
