Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Allen Hospital seeks a Section Chief Laboratory Technologist for the evening shift. You will lead a generalist team across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank, perform assays on clinical specimens, troubleshoot instruments, and drive quality controls.

This on-site role requires at least 4 years of clinical lab experience or 2 years with a Master's, plus NYS CLT licensure and a Bachelor's in Medical Technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of clinical lab experience, or 2 years with a Master's, or 1 year with MD/DO or doctoral degree in a chemical/physical/biological science.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent; NYS CLT licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Lead other Laboratory Technologists and ensure quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot instruments and methods; calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation.
• Research and establish new procedures to improve laboratory operations.
• Perform assays across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank.
