Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for the Core Lab on the full-time evening shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) in Brooklyn, NY. The role directs daily lab activities, maintains inventory, ensures test accuracy, and upholds QC/QA standards while leading a team of dedicated professionals.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Science degree, NYS Clinical Lab Technologist license, and 4 years of clinical lab experience (or 2 years with a master's or 1 year

• Bachelor of Science Degree required.
• NYS Clinical Lab Technologist license by Dept. of Education.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with master’s degree or 1 year of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct daily activities of the laboratory section assigned.
• Maintain adequate inventory and supplies.
• Responsible for validity of test results, quality control and quality assurance.
• Participates in continuing education program.
• Has the authority to recommend, select, discipline, and discharge personnel.

Supervisor Laboratory Services – Core Lab – Full-Time Evening Shift

In this role, the Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for organizing and directing the daily activities of the laboratory section assigned. Maintain adequate inventory and supplies. Responsible for validity of test results, quality control and quality assurance. Participates in continuing education program. Has the authority to recommend, select, discipline, and discharge personnel.

This is a full-time evening shift position 2:00pm-10:00pm including rotating weekends/holidays, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification.


• Master's Degree


• 2 years of additional experience
