Job summary

Good Samaritan Hutchinson location is seeking a full-time dietary/kitchen team member to prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, and staff. You will follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure food safety standards while working in a dynamic healthcare kitchen.

The role requires reading, writing, basic math, and the ability to work evenings with a 32-hour week. On-site position with benefits and opportunities for growth in a nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math skills required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Six months of applicable experience preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• BLS may be required depending on location.
• Driver's license may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble baked goods, cook, season and portion food for patients/residents, staff and visitors.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling per HACCP guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment and follow recipes and production sheets.
• Display strong teamwork and communication with staff to ensure quality service.
