Job summary

Good Samaritan Wagner SD is seeking a Cook to prepare, assemble baked goods, cook and portion food for residents and staff in a 50-bed senior care facility. You will follow menus and dietary requirements, adhering to HACCP and sanitation standards while operating a range of kitchen equipment.

Works with teammates in a dynamic culinary environment, demonstrating basic math and the ability to read and follow directions. On-the-job training is provided; some locations may require Serv Safe and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math.
• Minimum six months of applicable experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Serv Safe may be required; BLS may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assemble baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors.
• Follow menus and dietary requirements while maintaining HACCP guidelines.
• Operate equipment and maintain sanitation and cleanliness in cooking areas.
• Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment and machinery.
