Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking an Evening Shift Cook at Riverwalk Village to prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals for residents, while upholding high sanitation and food safety standards.

You will follow recipes, assist in kitchen operations, lead staff during prep, and help maintain a clean work area. High school diploma or GED required; sanitation certification preferred; prior institutional/healthcare food service experience a plus.

• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Preferred: Prior institutional/healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks and prepares palatable, nutritious meals in needed quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff in food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and stocking.
• Maintains a clean work area during service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food per procedures and regs.
