Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a skilled Cook for Maple Park Village in Indiana on the evening shift. You will help prepare and serve meals that meet residents' nutritional needs while maintaining sanitation and food safety standards.

You will lead kitchen staff, follow recipes, prepare meals in required quantities, and ensure a clean work area. Prior institutional or healthcare food service experience is preferred, with sanitation certifications as a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred where required by authorities.
• Experience in institutional/healthcare food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks attractive, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during service.
• Handles, stores and disposes of food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
