Job summary

Maple Park Village is seeking a Cook to join the culinary team in Westfield, IN. The evening shift focuses on preparing nutritious meals per menus, following recipes, and ensuring sanitation standards for our residents.

The role leads kitchen activities, supervises service, and maintains a clean, compliant work area while handling food storage and safety procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred.
• Prior Institutional and/or Healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
