Job summary

The St. James Hotel in Red Wing, MN is seeking a friendly, motivated team player for the Port lounge. You will bring warmth, efficiency, and professionalism to every interaction, helping to create memorable experiences for our guests in The Port.

As part of our team, you will greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages while learning cocktail techniques, elevated wines, and high-end liquors. Availability Wednesday–Saturday evenings is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and POS experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and maintain product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile, take orders, and serve food and beverages, ensuring prompt, high-quality service.
• This position requires the knowledge or willingness to learn cocktail mixology, elevated wines and high end liquors.
• Assist guests by providing information about food, drinks, hotel services, and local attractions to enhance their stay.
• Support the cleanliness of the restaurant and bar areas.
• Manage transactions accurately, handle cash responsibly, and reconcile financials at shift end.
• Coordinate with team members across departments to ensure seamless service for guests and events.
