Job summary

EMI Industries in Tampa, FL seeks a Machine Operator on 2nd shift to set up and run CNC routers, edge banders, and saws, fabricating wood parts to spec. You will read travelers and blueprints, select tooling, and monitor quality throughout production.

Responsibilities include safe operation, routine maintenance, and accurate production records. Must be able to lift up to 50–75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work a Monday–Friday shift 1:30 pm–10:00 pm with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; comparable experience considered.
• 1–3 years of CNC, edge banding, or saw experience preferred; training possible for strong candidates.
• Ability to read blueprints, travelers, and CAD/CNC files; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC routers and machining centers.
• Set up edge banding equipment and saws per job specs.
• Read blueprints, travelers, and cut lists to determine tooling and sequence.
• Inspect parts with measuring tools for dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and light troubleshooting.
• Maintain production records and follow safety protocols.
