Job summary

Electric Supply & Equipment is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate computer-controlled machines for metal workpieces. You will review specs, install tools, and monitor performance while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading programs, adjusting speeds and feeds, and preparing finished pieces for shipment. A High School Diploma and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Review program specifications or blueprints to determine machine operations and sequencing.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
• Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules via network links.
• Insert control instructions to start operation and monitor performance.
• Ensure lubrication and cooling of workpieces during operation.
• Adjust machines for tool wear, vibrations, or programming faults.
• Enter commands or load control media to retrieve instructions.
• Set up future jobs and enter orders in the business system.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement given CNC programs from blueprints or specs.
• Mount tools and fixtures on machines using hand tools and precise measuring devices.
• Transfer CNC commands from servers and load into control units.
• Start operations and monitor for malfunctions or abnormal readings.
• Log and adjust machine speeds, feeds, and tool changes as needed.
• Ensure parts are properly lubricated and cooled during processing.
• Prepare panels or workpieces for delivery as required.
• Maintain clean workspace and comply with safety policies.
