Job summary

Steel Technologies seeks a skilled CNC/machine operator to produce parts to specs and set up jobs for different production runs. You will test and verify new programs, keep detailed records in Shop Travelers and ERP, and maintain 5S and PPE standards in a safety-conscious manufacturing setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and crane certification, with prior CNC experience preferred. Training is provided to learn the EIMCo process and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background and machine operating experience.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on the EIMCo manufacturing process.
• General skills with hand and power tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects.
• Prior CNC experience.

Responsibilities

• Check with the designated lead person on machine and job assignment.
• Discuss machine performance with operators from the preceding shift and any difficulties.
• Produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications and within production requirements.
• Set up parts for different production jobs.
• Test machines after the Programmer sets up a new program.
• Unload and package parts per EIMCo standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records for every job in Shop Travelers and ERP system.
• Follow EIMCo documentation and inspection sheets and blueprints.
• Inform quality control and supervisors of problems with parts.
• Maintain safety and PPE per EIMCo policies; perform required inspections.
• Maintain 5S in the work area and safety compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train teammates to share expertise to improve department capability.
