Good Samaritan Society is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a 40-hour/week setting in Rapid City, SD. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health care under RN supervision, supporting a compassionate, Christian environment.

The role expects CNA certification or enrollment, high school diploma or GED, 16+ age, and ongoing CEU requirements. A sign-on bonus is offered and the team emphasizes infection control and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in a training program to obtain certification.
• Annual continuing education of at least 12 hours; maintain department certifications.
• If applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and meals.
• Record and report vital signs and changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist residents with transfers, positioning, ROM, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Follow infection prevention, PPE use, and care plan requirements.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and participation in wellness/recreational activities.
