Job summary

Good Samaritan in Rapid City, SD, seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and contribute to a caring, Christian not-for-profit environment.

You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, transfers, and documentation, while promoting infection prevention and overall resident well-being. A CNA certification is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• CNA certification required or in process of obtaining.
• Continuing education credits required annually (12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, and mobility.
• Dine and assist with meals and hydration.
• Document interactions and care outcomes for residents.

Education

GED preferred

CNA certification with State Board of Nursing / state certified CNA within four months
