Job summary

Sanford Health's Good Samaritan Waconia facility seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support safe, compassionate care aligned with the care plan.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist residents with transfers, positioning, and mobility using correct techniques.
• Record vital signs and document interactions; support meals and dining.
• Communicate changes to the charge nurse and assist with wellness activities.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and PPE usage.
