Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with mobility and meals under the supervision of an RN.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required within four months.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, and range-of-motion activities.
• Support with housekeeping, laundry, and wellness/recreational programs.
• Document resident interactions and follow infection control policies.

Education

CNA certification
