Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in long-term care. Work 2pm-10:15pm; perform daily living activities and vital sign checks under RN supervision.

You must hold a CNA certification with the State Board, have a GED or high school diploma, be at least 16, and complete ongoing education. Sign-on bonus and shift incentives offered by Sanford.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; preferred but not required.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing required; facility provides training for certification.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Maintains annual continuing education credits and departmental competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning and walking using correct techniques and equipment.
• Provide meals and dining assistance and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions, monitor vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Support infection prevention, PPE usage and participate in wellness and recreational programs.
