Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The NA supports daily living activities, vital signs, transfers, and basic nursing tasks under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, documenting care, and assisting with wellness activities while adhering to infection control and PPE policies. Applicants must meet CNA certification requirements and be able to obtain licensure as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 and prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position. CNA training and certification provided by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and basic health care needs.
• Record vital signs and assist with transferring and mobility.
• Aid with meals, hydration, and dining, creating a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and report care-related changes to the charge nurse.
