Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Mandan Sunset is seeking a Nursing Assistant to deliver resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care setting. You will support basic activities of daily living under RN supervision, help with transfers, meals, and documentation, and uphold infection prevention policies.

The role requires CNA certification and completion of annual continuing education; a 2:00pm–10:15pm shift is available with every-other-weekend duties and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required or in process of obtaining within four months.
• Annual 12 hours of continuing education and maintain department certifications.
• UAP Registry if applicable per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and ambulation using proper techniques; perform ROM and gentle exercises.
• Assist with meals and hydration; document resident interactions and vital signs.
