Sanford Health in Pine River, MN is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) for evening shifts (2:15 PM to 10:45 PM) with every other weekend and holiday requirements. The role includes resident-centered care under RN supervision, with opportunities to train for CNA certification if needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
• Assists residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques; provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining; assists residents with meals and snacks; provides water and supplements.
• Aids providers and nursing staff with procedures; documents resident interactions and outcomes; communicates changes to the charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean and operational.
