Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a not-for-profit, Christian environment in Sioux Falls, SD. The role covers evening shifts and part-time scheduling, with 9 weekly hours.

The NA will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team under RN supervision. Responsibilities include bathing, meals, documentation, and participation in infection prevention and control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 with long-term care CNA experience preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board, or in process within four months of start date.
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility.
• Continuing education: minimum 12 hours annually; maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and nutrition; support dining experiences.
• Support infection prevention policies and PPE use; assist with transfers and range of motion.
