Sanford Health is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide resident-centered care in a hospital or long-term care setting. The role supports daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse and requires CNA certification with ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required by state; facility provides training if needed.
• Annual continuing education 12 hours minimum; annual competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans and address physical and psychosocial needs of residents.
• Adhere to infection prevention, PPE use, and safety policies.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, ROM and exercises.
• Support meals, hydration, and dining experiences; document care interactions.
• Record resident status and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness programs.
