Job summary

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caregiving team. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, and daily living activities for residents in a compassionate, one-on-one setting.

Positions include Part-Time (2:30PM-11:00PM, some weekends required) and Full-Time options with weekend duties. A CNA in IL is required, and weekend/holiday availability is expected. Competitive pay plus shift differentials and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in IL as a CNA.
• Comfortable working in one-on-one patient care settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the home.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Support daily living activities and patient comfort.
• Report incidents and assist in emergencies.

Job description

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in healthcare. The day‑to‑day duties of this role include planning and preparing meals, helping clients with mobility around or outside of the house, and providing personal hygiene assistance.

Part‑Time Position: 2:30PM-11:00PM 3 evenings a week, every other weekend required

Part‑Time Position: 2:30PM-11:00PM every other Saturday and Sunday only

Full‑Time Position: 2:30PM-11:00PM, every other weekend required

PAY RANGE: $20.87 - $22.87/hr

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
