Good Samaritan Society – Canistota is seeking a part-time Medication Assistant (MA) to deliver resident-centered care under supervision. The role includes administering medications delegated by a nurse, recording vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living to ensure comfort and safety.

Must have CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing and CMA coursework completed; 2pm-10:30pm shifts with every other weekend/holiday required and night/weekend differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or other state CMA requirements.
• Successful completion of a state-approved CMA course after CNA certification.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and care outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, personal care, and activities to support resident well-being.
