Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Canistota is seeking a part-time Medication Assistant (MA/CMA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will administer medications as delegated, monitor vital signs, and document care outcomes while supporting dining and activities.

The CMA role requires state CMA certification with background checks; hours are 2pm–10:30pm, every other weekend/holiday, with additional night and weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must have CNA certification as required by the state boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes, vital signs and medication administration.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and assist with dining and nutrition.
