Sanford Health is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Crane Meadows Assisted Living in the heartland. The role provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse, with medications administered as delegated and documentation maintained.

The position supports a 2:00pm–10:30pm shift, 24 hours weekly, with benefits and education opportunities available. Requires high school diploma or GED; CNA/CMA certifications per state may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains CE credits.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements.
• Maintains all department specific required certifications.
• For CMA/CNA requirements, state-specific certifications are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision.
• Deliver age-appropriate care per plan of care and assist with daily living activities.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity and dietary.
• Communicate changing conditions and concerns to the charge nurse.
• Assist residents with transfers, positioning, mobility and ROM exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining, and support wellness and recreational programs.
