Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Canistota is seeking a part-time Medication Assistant (MA) to support resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a charge nurse. Duties include medication administration delegation, vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living to promote comfort and independence.

The role requires CMA/CNA certification per state requirements, evening shifts from 2pm–10:30pm, and additional weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Certification requirements vary by state; CMA/CNA certification per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated and document outcomes.
• Assist with transferring, mobility, range of motion, and daily living activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and support wellness and recreational activities.
