Job summary

Good Samaritan Society - Canistota is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You may assist with basic health care needs, vitals, and documentation per plan of care.

Must hold CMA or CNA certification per state requirements; high school/GED preferred. Evening shift 2pm–10:30pm; every other weekend/holiday; night and weekend differentials apply. 55-bed facility near Sioux Falls.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required by state; CMA certification preferred.
• GED is acceptable if no diploma.
• Favorable prior clinical/nursing assistant experience in LTC.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated within scope.
• Document outcomes related to resident care and medications.
