Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the North Tower Pharmacy on the Winston Campus. The role features a 2nd shift (12:45 PM–9:15 PM), Monday–Friday with no weekends, and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

The pharmacist will oversee pharmacotherapy, counsel patients, manage medication safety, and mentor learners, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. A NC pharmacist license or reciprocity is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed in good standing with NC or eligible for reciprocity.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required.
• Credentialing and privileging as per practice area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and evaluates biomedical literature to design therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication use, adverse effects, and adherence.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on literature.
• Interprets medication orders accurately and participates in emergency management.
• Supports medication safety, quality improvement, and formulary adherence.
• Mentors pharmacy students and junior teammates; assists with performance reviews.
• Ensures storage, handling, and documentation comply with regulations.
