Job summary

1046 Health Network Laboratories LLC in Allentown, PA seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform moderately complex CLIA testing under supervision, prepare specimens, and maintain Quality Control procedures. The role includes data entry into LIS, reagent prep, and accurate labeling.

The position requires shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends/holidays, and opportunities to participate in CSI and staff training under supervision of a technologist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; clinical environment data handling experience preferred.
• AS degree or equivalent demonstration of education and experience in a clinical setting.
• Graduate of health/medical assistant or similar training program from an accredited institution where general laboratory technique is taught.
• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs CLIA classified moderately complex testing under direct supervision of a technologist.
• Operates and troubleshoots instruments; records troubleshooting steps.
• Prepares reagents/controls and ensures proper labeling for analysis.
• Maintains accurate documentation and reports results per SOPs.
• Prioritizes STAT/Emergency requests and coordinates with department staff.
