Job summary

Health Network Laboratories, LLC seeks a Lab Technician/Technologist for the Blood Bank at Cedar Crest in Allentown. The role performs high and complex testing, interprets data, and supports physicians in result interpretation. It requires CLIA high-complexity certification readiness and a relevant MLT degree.

The position emphasizes independence, communication with healthcare teams, and ongoing CSI activities, with schedule Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Associate’s degree in MLT from an accredited program.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical information.
• Certification by a recognized certifying agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high/medium/waived laboratory testing in the assigned division with minimal supervision.
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions and records troubleshooting activity.
• Verifies and reports test results independently; monitors results for reasonableness.
• Correlates and interprets data; assists physicians in result interpretation.
• Provides quality control and participates in CSI and training of staff.
• Prepares and collects specimens for analysis and ensures proper handling.
