Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED.
• Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple English; write simple correspondence.
• Math Ability: Basic arithmetic; compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions and solve routine problems.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of email and Lab Information System; training provided.
• Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Orders, receives, and triages incoming specimens; evaluate integrity.
• Processes specimens/slides per SOP; ensure proper delivery to departments.
• Clerical tasks including data entry and record maintenance; patient demographics and insurance info.
• Contacts clients and patients to obtain missing information.
• Provides on-call and mobile services; may travel to multiple locations.
• Maintains supply inventories and reports issues promptly.
• Assists in training/new staff; participates in CSI and continuing education.
• Performs LIS functions for test receipt, requisition and labeling; QC checks.
• Participates in Health Fair events and finger punctures.
• Cleans equipment and prepares reagents with documentation.
