University Hospital seeks a Shift Supervisor Pathology to lead the Clinical Laboratory during evening, night, and weekend shifts and to represent the lab with other hospital units. You will ensure operations continuity under the Administrative Director Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and uphold quality control and regulatory standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• M.T. ASCP credential or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience required.

Mansioni

• Provide patient-centered service by creating a welcoming environment, communicating clearly, resolving complaints promptly, and modeling service excellence.
• Oversee daily Clinical Laboratory operations, enforce personnel policies, and ensure quality control procedures are completed and documented.
• Communicate effectively across shifts, prepare comprehensive reports, and respond to operational problems, escalating issues when necessary.
• Monitor supply levels, coordinate downtime activities, and perform bench work as required based on competency.
• Train and orient new staff, students, residents, and other trainees during evening or night shifts.
• Stay current with laboratory procedures, safety protocols, LIS policies, and maintain knowledge of all relevant manuals.
• Serve as liaison to provide professional, courteous communication with staff, patients, and visitors while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Ensure staff adherence to compliance standards, maintain regulatory knowledge, and perform other related duties as assigned.
