Responsibilities

• Receiving, registering, and verifying patient specimens and test requests for accuracy.
• Reviewing patient demographics, billing information, and diagnoses, and resolving discrepancies.
• Serving as a key resource for specimen inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
• Preparing specimens through centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, measuring, and packaging.
• Ensuring proper storage, handling, and shipment of specimens for in-house and reference testing.
• Accurately entering data, scanning documents, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
• Communicating critical values and managing failed fax notifications as needed.
• Following laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards at all times.
• Working independently while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality.
