Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a lab assistant to support technical staff in collecting, receiving, and processing biological specimens for analytical testing. This role may perform waived or moderate complexity testing under CLIA guidelines and supervision.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, instrument maintenance, QC, and participation in inventory and training activities, with emphasis on accuracy and timely results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 18+ if phlebotomy is performed.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid state driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patient samples, ensure correct identification and sample integrity.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision.
• Maintain equipment, document QC and troubleshooting, support inventory management.
• Assist with training and phlebotomy as needed.
