Job summary

Unity House of Troy, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Victim Advocate to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our residential shelter. Ideal candidates are empathetic, dependable, and comfortable working second shift.

The role involves trauma-informed, victim-centered case management, assisting clients with housing searches, safety planning, and life skills development, plus answering hotlines and providing crisis intervention and referrals. A $1250 sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with domestic violence survivors or a similar population.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.

• 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• 5:00 PM – 1:0 AM
  (Overtime opportunities available)
