Job summary

STARK is seeking a Carpet Cutter to review fabrication work orders, verify carpet style, color, and layout, and perform precise cutting using cutting tables and knives. You will inspect materials for defects, label each cut with key identifiers, and ensure alignment with diagrams and nap direction.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe workspace, collaborating with fabrication and QC teams, and logging cuts in the tracking system.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpet or textile cutting or related manufacturing preferred.
• Strong measuring and cutting technique knowledge.
• Ability to read diagrams and matching production specs.

Responsibilities

• Review FWOs and verify style, color, dimensions, and cutting layout.
• Measure and cut carpet materials using cutting tables and tools.
• Inspect materials for defects and backing integrity before cutting.
• Label cuts with style, size, serial number, and job reference.
• Ensure cuts match diagram specs, considering nap direction and seams.
• Handle rolls carefully to prevent damage and contamination.
• Log completed cuts in production tracking systems.
