Job summary

Stanton-Carpet is seeking a dedicated Custom Rug Hand Cutter to precisely hand-cut rugs per client specifications on a production floor. The role requires kneeling, climbing onto cutting tables, and lifting heavy rugs with team support.

Safety protocols and PPE use are essential as you collaborate with fellow cutters to ensure quality and timely production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hand-cutting tools, strong manual dexterity, and an eye for detail to interpret work

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hand-cutting or related textile work is desirable.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret work orders/diagrams.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to precision.
• Must be able to kneel and work on cutting tables for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and handle heavy rugs safely.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders and diagrams to determine cutting specifications.
• Use hand-cutting tools to cut rugs to exact dimensions and shapes.
• Work on hands and knees and climb cutting tables as needed.
• Safely lift and move heavy rugs (50 lbs+).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision.
• Collaborate with cutters and team members to ensure production efficiency.
• Inspect finished cuts for quality and accuracy.
