Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Caregiver in Livingston, NJ to support residents with daily living activities per care plans. Roles include personal care, meals, and light housekeeping, with a focus on dignity and safety. Positions are hourly, non-exempt, and report to the Health & Wellness Director.

Full-time and/or part-time opportunities available; shifts include evenings (3-11pm). Must have HS diploma or GED, CPR, and experience with elderly residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year resident care experience.
• CPR certification required.
• CNA/HHA certification or Direct Care Staff Competency exam (PA ONLY).
• English literacy required.
• Weekend and holiday work availability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as outlined in the care plan.
• Respect the needs of residents and team members by adhering to schedule and documenting attendance.
• Maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
• Escort residents to meals and activities as needed.
• Ensure residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during shifts.
• Document all services in the EHR for assigned residents during shift.
• Monitor and report any change in condition to supervisor.
• Use and safeguard electronic documentation devices; record care/services accurately.
• Attend in-service trainings as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and community policies.
• Provide basic housekeeping and/or laundry services as needed.
• May obtain weights and vitals per RN or designee request (LPN MA/PA).</br>Under supervision of RN/LPN (CT and MA only).
• Assist with self-administration of prescribed medications and maintain related medical records.
• Other duties as assigned
