Job summary

Evergreen Retirement Community in Cincinnati is seeking a Care Associate for the Assisted Living program, PRN 3pm–11pm. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility, helping them lead a dignified, quality life.

The role requires at least one year of senior care experience, fluent English, and, depending on state, a CNA or CHHA license.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• Proficiency in English to perform duties, communicate with supervisor and respond to emergencies.
• May require CNA or CHHA license depending on state.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging and empathetic.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle high-stress situations.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
