New England College of Optometry in Boston seeks a dedicated Part-Time Night Cleaner to maintain campus facilities. The role runs Monday through Friday from 6pm to 11pm, totaling 25 hours per week. This essential position may require on-campus work when the college is closed.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, restroom sanitization, furniture care, and light snow removal. Training on safety, equipment handling, and OSHA rules is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years related experience preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English (safety rules, MSDS, manuals).
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Floor and rug cleaning; sanitize restrooms and drinking fountains; polish furniture.
• Move and set up office furniture and equipment for college operations and events.
• Seasonal snow removal as required; follow established schedules and procedures.
• Report building damages, malfunctioning equipment, and needed maintenance.
• Operate and care for floor machines, buffers, vacuums; observe safety rules (OSHA).
• Clean and maintain building exteriors and waste areas; ensure healthful sanitary conditions.
